My approach to teaching generally results in positive comments from students. Some examples of student responses to the question “What are the teachers’ strengths in teaching?” and “The best features of this teachers’ teaching were:” on student evaluation forms are given below:
“knows the content well, lectures were clear/understandable, notes were brilliant”
“interaction with the class is good through the use of explaining concepts and then testing us on our understanding of them”
“explaining difficult concepts to be easily understood, helpful to students needs and well organized and structured lecture notes”
The formal student evaluation scores shown in the Table below demonstrate that courses that I teach are well received by students. The score in the last column of the table is the student’s response to the question ”Overall I was satisfied with this course“ where a score of 6 corresponds to “strongly agree” and a score of 1 corresponds to “strongly disagree”.
